Ashlyn Hohenshelt

President

Ashlyn is a senior in Mining Engineering with a McBride Honors Minor in Public Affairs from Rockwall, TX. On campus she is also apart of Tau Beta Pi Honors Society, Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), club volleyball, and ballroom dance. In her free time she loves watching movies (especially Mel Brooks), spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new things!

Anusha Prasad

Executive Vice President

Anusha is a junior studying Geophysical Engineering and calls Littleton, CO home. She is involved in Mines Without Borders, Society of Women in Geophysics on campus and loves watching netflix, crafting, sleeping, hiking in her freetime!

Morgan Bergstrom

Vice President of Programming

Morgan is a senior majoring in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Highlands Ranch, CO. On campus she participates in Mines Without Borders, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the McBride Honors Program and working in the Mines International Office (ask her about studying abroad)! When she’s not exploring the Rocky Mountains, skiing and camping she likes to spend her time nights with a scented candle, a face mask and an audiobook. Lacia Engels

Vice President of New Member Education

Lacia is a junior in Petroleum Engineering from Houston, TX. She has a passion for photography and journalism and enjoys crafting and cooking in her free time. She is apart of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and works for Bricks for Kidz. “I'm super excited to be living the dream and welcoming people to Sigma Kappa!” - Lacia

Reid Heath

Vice President of Membership

Reid is a senior in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Dallas, TX! She's obsessed with her dog, Lola, and is down to try just about anything new! In addition, she loves baking, making homemade cards, and loves music.

Sage Howell

Vice President of Alumnae Relations

Sage is a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering from Littleton, Co. When she's not in class Sage loves hiking and walking down by the creek, especially in the Fall. As seen by her collection of succulents, she's slightly obsessed with them. Sage loves to be involved and is also an officer in Circle K International.

Sun Yu

Vice President of Scholarship

Sun is a junior in Engineering Physics! When she’s not tearing up the dance floor with Mine’s Sliderulers (swing dance team) she spends her time playing video games, hiking and being adventurous with cooking. On campus she is a member of Society of Physics Students, Society of Asian-Scientists & Engineers, and National Association of Asian-American Professionals.

McKinlee Neubauer

Vice President of Philanthropic Services

Mckinlee is a senior in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Chandler, Arizona. She is a member of the CSM Materials Advantage Chapter and Interns with Emerson. When she not in class, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Her love for dogs and coffee is bigger than anything else in the entire world!

Elizabeth or “Liz” is a junior studying Chemical Engineering. She is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and works for Bricks4Kidz. In her free time she loves to go Rock Climbing, Hiking and crafting!

Janni Machnik

Janni is a junior in chemical engineering, and her passions are dancing and playing the violin. She is also involved in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the Society of Women Engineers and the Mines Dance Team.

Baylee is a senior in Applied Math and Statistics. She hosts a radio show with Mines Internet Radio on Wednesday nights which is Disney themed! She loves dogs, crafting, crocheting, watching Netflix, sleeping and drinking tea.

Shuying Ong

Formal Chair

Shuying is a junior studying Chemical Engineering and is apart of the society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and works as a Gen. Chem. Teacher’s Assistant her at Mines. She moved around a lot but was born and raised in Malaysia. She loves traveling around, whether it's backpacking across Europe or road tripping in the US. In her free time she enjoys playing the guitar or piano and hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains.

Megan Henke

Megan is a junior in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering. She calls Denver, CO home but was born in Houston, TX. The two best states in her opinion! When not attending class or doing homework she can be found running, reading, playing piano, or sitting in a local Golden coffee shop enjoying a latte.

Marie is currently a sophomore studying Mining engineering. She is from Arvada, CO and loves to hike, travel, and read anything and everything! At Mines she is involved in Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) and DECTech.

Phoebe is a sophomore majoring in Statistics. She calls Geneva, New York home and loves dancing and cooking when she's not practicing for a performance with Mines Little Theatre!

Laurel Sherman

Public Relations Chair

Laurel is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering from Kansas City. She is involved in Mines Internet Radio, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and the Peer Mentor program on campus. She loves spending her free time practicing her makeup artistry skills, scrolling on social media and going skiing on the weekends. Fun fact about her, outside of Sigma Kappa she runs a Twitter account with over 50,000 followers!

Kaitlyn Ruzicka

Kaitlyn is a sophomore studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering who calls Westminster, CO home! On campus she participates in Mines Little Theater, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and working in the Registrar's Office. In her down time, she loves reading, dancing, watching movies with her sisters, and spending time with her family.
